The Surveyor Interceptor is a flexible survey - oriented Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), serving as a pure sensor - carrying platform with enhanced speed, stability, and accuracy. Over the past few years, Kystdesign has developed two specialized ROVs for survey purposes. The Surveyor Interceptor was developed for a joint venture between Reach Subsea and MMT, while The Superior was developed for DeepOcean. Both ROVs were developed with a focus on high - speed operation and strong survey - sensor - carrying capabilities.
